Before a year period of time, in the studio of Bozidar Bojadjiev, in which I hold  the lecture of "drawing", it appeared  a girl looking like our girls-but diferent in many ways. With open eyes for the world and with a greedy  passion for the creative painting. In a short period of time, the studio has been fulfield and beaming by her creative drawings, colages, canvases-provocative in color, non-slave to the old-fasioned typisation and convention, and above all inhabited with a purity and loquacious characters of her paintings.

I have not known from whom and what she has learned as a graduated student at the Academy of Fine Art in Skopje. I could not place that I have seen on her canvases (paintings) in any of the academy programms and pased phasees of her development, as a painter.  I have taken the liberty to assess and to conclude her work, to a large degree as a finaly specific "art - product".

At this her individual exhibition, amazengly for her earlier phase of development and younger years, Jasmina follows and proofs the parameters of a great deal of an individual artistic language which doesn't correspond towards an official run   away known tendencies. Non-customary for the life artistic vocabulary expresses adequately a wandering - poetic world - colored day-dreams of her author. The world fulfilled and departing with wonder, exaltation of a man -"eternal child" before the shop window of the life-"Disneyland". The vivid dreams, illusion, unconscious fiction, a bit sad and a bit funny.

That strange neo-mythological appearance (face) receives a visual aggression of "pop" and "subculture", of the neo-new world, in which I live, and as in a postmodern kaleidoscope collects and interprets signs, signals and characters of different periods, cultures, myths and tales (stories). But as in a good ancient tales, always carries natural estimates for the good and the bad (evil). Here I find the essential dignity of the art of Jasmina- in her pure-heartiness, vitality, simplicity, clearness and protection of the good in the human being.

The clearness of the artistic impulse, the sharpness of the natural sensitivity and the sense for contemporary artistic form define the quality of that paintings promising her a ruthful   artistic development.

I wish to Jasmina Novkovska develop and enrich  her artistic nature, radically to stay up on her own creative position, and to donate us with the discovery of her story for the life and the world.
